Role conflict is a situation in which a person faces multiple challenges in trying to fulfill the responsibilities of various roles that needs to be fulfilled. I think everyone faces this conflict in their life and I have too. The role conflict that I have faced manifested itself in trying to fulfill the role of a student, as a daughter and a friend. There are times when I have to study but also need to be there for my mother for some errand, and visit a friend who was hospitalized. In terms of role strain, I think the role of a student sometimes becomes too strenuous for me. At times there is so much work and assignments that I feel quite stressed.
